 Fine product-but remote control malfunctioned after one season. June 24, 2010

The product worked fine last summer. This summer, the remote control began to malfunction. Unfortunately, most features of the product can only be controlled via the remote control. The only feature available directly on the unit is the on/off switch and default settings (high speed air conditioning set at 70-some degrees).
Unlike the description says, this does NOT heat March 30, 2010

This works fine, and so far I've had no problems with it. However, the product description says it also heats--wrong!!

Don't let the bad reviews turn you off. This item won many awards out there and it's a fantastic item. So good, that I will order a second one. And you can't beat Amazon price and service! VERY happy! Amazon ROCKS!

Great choice if you have crank windows that open outward. The disadvantage with crank windows is that a air conditioner can not be installed in the window.
